Meet By Faith

     By Faith is a Southern Gospel trio from Manchester, Tenn. The group consists of  brothers Johnny and Ronnie Brown, who formed the group in October 1994 after going to the altar at a homecoming at their church and dedicating their lives to the Lord to sing and spread the gospel in song. In September 2002 Johnny's daughter Heather joined the group to make up the present trio.

     Johnny & Ronnie had sung years before with a small group in their church and sung occasionally, but after a tragedy in Ronnie's life they did not sing for a long time. Johnny knew he wanted to sing, but it was hard without his brother. But with time of  healing Ronnie knew this was what they were suppose to be doing. God has blessed the guys and brought them a long way from hauling equipment in the trunk of their car, to a trailer that flipped twice, to a RV that you counted your trip by how many belts it would take, to our third bus which is truly a gift from the Lord. The guys are family oriented and want their family with them when ever they can go.

     Heather had sung specials in church since she was 5 and continued to do specials at By Faith concerts. She never dreamed that one day the Lord would have it in his plan for her to sing with her dad and uncle. She has truly been an asset to By Faith with her strong mature voice. They have received many compliments on their tight family harmony.

      Ronnie Brown sings lead for By Faith and is the official bus driver. He is the youngest son of Johnny & the late Lou Ella Brown born on June 12, 1966. He married Amy on November 6, 1992. Amy's birthday is February 3. They have two beautiful girls, Lindsay Suzanne and Hannah Nicole.

     Ronnie was saved in the summer of 1983 after a church service. He was afraid he couldn't live the Christian life. He knows now you can't live the Christian life yourself, but you have to let God lead your life and let Him be the center of your life. And you can see what God can do with a willing vessel. Amy was saved at a young child but really got serious and rededicated her life to the Lord in 1991. They are presently members of Forest Mills Baptist Church.

      Lindsay was born February 26, 1990. She is a Sr. at  Franklin Road Christian School in Murfreesboro. She has been a member of the schools Honor Society for 2 years. She plays softball for the school  and last year they won the state championship which was so exciting for the girls.  Her greatest joy is working with children. Lindsay was saved May 8, 1998 and rededicated her life to the Lord November 2004. Lindsay has been teaching a Sunday night class for the younger children in her church and has gained a babysitting job since. She told Ronnie she felt the Lord had called her to do something with children and we are all so proud of her. She also plans to be a nurse and hopefully attend MTSU for their nursing program.

      Hannah was born September 20, 2000. She loves to travel on the bus and be with her daddy on the road when she can., but while he’s traveling your liable to find her watching old movies with her mom and sister. When he’s not singing, she likes to hang out with him at work helping in the office or out delivering water. Hannah enjoys going to Gatlinburg and riding the Alpine slide over and over, she likes to sing, play on the piano (of course not in front of anyone yet) swim, go on vacations to the beach, shop and shop and shop.   Hannah is in the 2nd grade at Franklin Road Christian. She is a Disney princess fan especially after she was able to visit Disney World.  

      Johnny Brown sings baritone for By Faith. His wife Nancy runs the sound for the group and together they take care of the business and bookings. Johnny was born July 6th and Nancy's birthday is January 15th. Johnny and Nancy were married May 27th, 1979.

     Johnny and Nancy were saved on May 20, 1982 at their home on a Thursday night around their eating table as Johnny calls it. It was a church visitation night, thank God for people who will go out and visit and invite people to church. God had a plan that night because Johnny was suppose to play a softball game that night but it came the biggest rain you ever seen so they would be home. God is still in control. They are members of Faith Free Will Baptist Church which they joined right after they got saved.

         They have two children Christopher Michael and Heather Lynne.  And let's not forget the baby Casper, the families 7 year old Cocker Spaniel.   Chris was born July 23, 1983. He graduated high school in 2002 and Motlow Community College in 2005. Chris got married May 15, 2004 to Chenoa Neal. It is such a blessing to have such a good Christian girl as a part of our family.

     Heather Brown sings alto for By Faith. Heather was born April 19, 1985. She graduated in 2003. She was in chorus for 6 years and received many awards and recognition thru those years. She graduated in the top 10 % of her class with a 4.0 GPA.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    She She had planned to go to college and become a nurse, God closed the door on college for the present time and she is concentrating mainly on spreading the gospel through song with her gift that God has given her. 

     Heather and Chris have been in church all there lives. Johnny and Nancy had the privilege of leading both their children to the Lord in their home. Heather accepted the Lord as her Savior on Father's Day 1991.

     Heather loves movies and is a huge Superman fan . Heather has played softball practically her whole life and the Lord has worked it out that Heather, Johnny, Chris, Ronnie and Lindsay played on the same church softball team in 2006 and they won first place.  Heather is a huge Atlanta Braves fan and her favorite player is Brian McCann. She is also a shopaholic for clothes, purses, and jewelry. Cato's is her favorite place to shop.

     Together this family makes up By Faith and together they have the same desires, to see souls saved, spirits lifted and people become closer to the Lord. The end is at hand, the Lord is coming soon and we need to be strong in the Lord for the battles before us.
